Painting: Eventually, for myself, as well as for many of my contemporaries, painting has become an end in itself; where gestures, applications and colors have no prescribed formulation but are a spontaneous dialogue between me (the painter) and the picture plane. Early childhood memories (Chile), emotions and contemporary world events, in a subconscious way, play their part in the execution of these works. From a somewhat ambiguous, abstract narrative ultimately emerges and comes to me an obvious conclusion.
